This series of events realised in cooperation between Eidolon Center for Everyday Photography and Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center revolves around the issue of vernacular photography versus copyright/personality rights, since the presentation of photographs created by private individuals – not with the intention of sharing them and often depicting private individuals – raises serious legal questions. These issues not only affect contemporary artists who build from similar (private) archives, but also professionals who take care of these archives. The series of events aimed at gathering knowledge surrounding the legal issues, which can be used as best practice by the interested parties. The events are realised with the aim of filling a long-felt professional gap.

At the second event, we will discuss the relationship between the presentation of everyday photography and copyright, as well as the resulting situations to be solved.
