A video essay
From May to September, Eidolon presents a monthly film series at Cirko-Gejzír Cinema in Budapest, featuring works that have rarely, or never, been screened in Hungary. Each film explores everyday camera use, image-making practices, and the relationships people maintain with lens-based media across the mundane, the personal, and the political.
In August, we held three screenings of ‘Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World’ at Cirkó Gejzír, Europe’s smallest and coolest cinema. Each screening was accompanied by a video essay by Hungarian aesthete Pál Gerdesits. The video essay is in Hungarian with English subtitles.
