Eidolon is an institution dedicated to developing the recognition of everyday photography internationally. We are showcasing, studying, analysing, and appreciating vernacular photography and banal imaging in both analog and digital formats.
We build a global network, create exhibitions, curate events, publish printed materials, showcase photographs and run an international journal – while working on finding our permanent venue.
Financial, administrative, management, and some office management tasks related to a project of this size already fill up a full time position. We need someone who can concentrate on these matters so all of our invoices and contracts are in order, we never miss a deadline, leave an important mail unanswered – and we cannot stress this enough: miss an important tender or open call entry.
Hence Eidolon is seeking an enthusiastic and curious office manager to join its team in Budapest.
Eidolon being an institution with international partners, high-level of English and Hungarian proficiency is a must.
We are looking for a team member who is versatile, adaptable, and able to handle a variety of tasks or roles effectively – someone who strives for the maximum and shows great initiative while Eidolon enters a new chapter of its existence. If you want to be part of an international, open-minded team, an ambitious, result-oriented working environment, this is an opportunity for you to consider.
The following tasks will await the new colleague:
- Bookkeeping, invoices, contracts and other paperwork
- Keeping in touch with our partners in administrative matters
- Follow-up of internal operational meetings, writing reminders, calendar management
- Systematization and optimization of processes
- Management of purchases related to office operations
- Contributing to tenders and managing financial reports
- Managing Eidolon’s book distribution
- Travel arrangements for the Eidolon team before our international travels
Applications are due by February 1st, 2024.
Our office is located in Budapest – the position is not remote.
To apply, please send a CV and motivation letter to the following e-mail address: info@everydayphotography.org
We will respond to all applicants, and by February 10th we will notify those we would be happy to meet in person by e-mail.
We look forward to hearing from you!
