Each film examines everyday camera use, image-making practices, and the relationships people maintain with lens-based media across the mundane, the personal, and the political.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our next film in June is the experimental documentary titled \u2018The Family Album\u2019 by American independent filmmaker Alan Berliner. The film is constructed from an extensive archive of rare 16mm home movies dating from the 1920s to the 1950s. These clips serve as vivid and intimate records of American everyday life and vernacular culture, captured through the personal perspective of amateur filmmakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The film will be screened three times in English, with Hungarian subtitles. Before the screening, a short video essay will be shown, contextualising the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First screening: June 11, 18:30<br><em>Two additional screenings will be announced soon.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cirkogejzir.hu\/filmek\/eidolon-club-vol-14-the-family-album\/1207\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.cirkogejzir.hu\/filmek\/eidolon-club-vol-14-the-family-album\/1207\/\">Tickets can be purchased at this link.<\/a><\/strong><br><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fb.me\/e\/kbsm8vuC7\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/fb.me\/e\/kbsm8vuC7\">Facebook event in case you would like to share the news!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eidolon Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our goal is to offer fresh perspectives and networking opportunities centred around the appreciation of vernacular imagery.
